Postmortem

What went right

I think this game did the job we want it to do, which is to arouse emotions among players. Although it will be better if we have more time, I feel the graphics pass our message successfully. I’m glad that we can find a way to present our thoughts without using a bunch of words.

What went wrong

Our rope turned totally wrong in the first week. We spent a lot of time debugging. This process has taken us too much time, so in the end, we are a little rush on everything. However, debug is fun! I guess if we want to do something special, that struggle is something we have to go through.

Lessons Learned

An and I were working great together, and we are glad that we have shared-believes about something.  through making this game, I found that game design as a way to express our thinking and share something emotional hiding inside us with the world. We are happy that our message passed successfully and resonate with many people while doing the paly test.

Future Development

There is a lot of things we are trying to do. The most important thing we need to put more time into is deeper research on a diversity of communities. Instead of singly perception from ourselves, we wish we could represent larger group of women. Right now we feel the story is too plat. I think we really need to develop more on representing deeper meaning and symbolism in the future.
